My name is Charlotte Ferguson, founder of Healing from Heartbreak. I support individuals navigating the emotional challenges of divorce, separation, and relationship breakdowns. I’m so glad you’ve taken this step to support yourself — it takes real strength and courage to reach out during a time of change and uncertainty.
As a mother of two grown children with a long background in teaching, after more than 20 years of marriage, I was suddenly left on my own. The wave of emotions — fear, self-doubt, and uncertainty about the future — was overwhelming, and even with incredible family and friends around me, few truly understood what I was going through.
That experience inspired me to learn everything I could about rebuilding after heartbreak and to help others do the same. What felt like an ending became a new beginning — one filled with purpose, strength, and hope for the future.

Coaching focuses on where you are now and where you want to go next. While counselling often explores the past to heal emotional wounds, coaching helps you build practical strategies and confidence to move forward. Many clients find both work well together.
My sessions are primarily face-to-face, as I believe that’s the most personal and effective way to connect and build trust. However, I can offer online sessions in certain circumstances if that’s more suitable for you.
Everything we discuss is confidential, within professional ethical boundaries. This is your safe space to talk freely and honestly.
Not at all. I work with people at all stages — those thinking about leaving, in the middle of separation, or rebuilding their lives afterwards. Coaching meets you exactly where you are.
That depends on your personal goals and circumstances. Some clients find a few sessions enough to regain clarity and direction, while others prefer ongoing support through different stages of their separation. We’ll discuss what feels right for you.
Your initial Discovery Call is free and packages or individual sessions are available for booking and can be further discussed during your commitment free call.
Working with a coach can also help reduce the time and cost you may otherwise spend on a lawyer, whose billable hours are more expensive than those of a coach.
